"Kozloduy NPP - New Build" signed cooperation agreements with leading Bulgarian universities
"Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD has taken an important step towards securing future specialists for the project by signing framework agreements for cooperation with four leading Bulgarian universities.
The partnerships have been concluded with Technical University – Sofia, Technical University – Varna, Angel Kanchev University of Ruse and Technical University – Gabrovo.
The goal of the cooperation is to create sustainable opportunities for training, internships and professional development for students in priority engineering fields, including "Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment", "Automation, Robotics and Computer Control Systems", "Automation, Information and Control Engineering" and others.
Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov stressed the importance of the initiative, noting that the construction of new energy capacities – including the two units at the Kozloduy NPP site and the development of small modular reactors – is a key driver for the Bulgarian economy. According to him, the projects will create opportunities for the participation of hundreds of companies and open new perspectives for young specialists.
The cooperation between "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD and academic institutions is aimed at building long-term expert capacity and represents a strategic investment in human capital - in future engineers who will play a key role in the development of the Bulgarian energy sector.
